Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is published in compliance of the Information Technology Act, 2000; and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Information) Rules, 2011 (the "SPI Rules").

By accessing and using the Platform i.e. https://php.finqy.ai/testmypolicy/public/ including any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related or connected thereto and further including any amendments/ modification/ update thereon (hereinafter referred as “Platform”), which is operated and managed by M/s. E-Revbay Private Limited (hereinafter collectively referred to as “ERB”) incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013. By accessing or using the Platform, you, whether a registered or unregistered user ("User"), expressly authorise ERB and its affiliates, business partners and authorised service providers to contact you through telephone, SMS, email, WhatsApp or other electronic means in relation to the Services, insurance reports, product recommendations, promotional offers and other communications pertaining to the Platform, subject to applicable law. In addition, we might contact the User to offer promotional offers running on this Platform & offers offered by the associated third parties. By registering, User is further authorizing us hereby to call the User for products and services in spite of the fact that the User may be registered in the DND (Do not Disturb) / DNC (Do not Call) registry.

ERB recognizes the importance of maintaining the User’s privacy. ERB is committed to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and security of all information of our users. This Privacy Policy describes how ERB collects and handles certain information it may collect and/or receive from the User via the use of this Platform. This Privacy Policy applies to all current and former Users of the Platform. By accessing, browsing or using the Platform, or by submitting any personal information, insurance policy details or related data in connection with the Services, the User expressly acknowledges and agrees to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

What we Do

The Platform, owned and operated by ERB, is a technology-enabled platform that enables Users to upload their insurance policy details for the purpose of generating personalised insurance reports, evaluating existing insurance coverage, identifying protection gaps, comparing insurance products and receiving suitable insurance recommendations.

ERB does not issue, underwrite, sell or guarantee any insurance policy or insurance product. The reports, comparisons and recommendations made available through the Platform are provided solely for informational and facilitative purposes and shall not be construed as insurance, financial or legal advice, nor as a guarantee of the suitability, availability or issuance of any insurance product.

The Platform processes the information and insurance policy details voluntarily submitted by the User solely for the purpose of delivering the Services in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The Work flow

ERB collects information when you access, register on or use the Platform. Such information may include your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, location, insurance policy details, KYC or identity documents (where required), and any other information voluntarily submitted by you for the purpose of generating personalised insurance reports, evaluating your existing insurance coverage and providing policy comparisons and recommendations.

Upon registration, you cease to remain anonymous to ERB. By registering or otherwise using the Platform, you expressly authorise ERB to communicate with you through email, SMS, telephone, WhatsApp, push notifications or other electronic means regarding your account, insurance reports, recommendations, service-related updates, promotional communications and other information relating to the Platform and the Services, subject to applicable law.

Documents and Information We Collect

To enable the Services, ERB may collect, process and retain the following information voluntarily provided by the User:

  • Full name;
  • Email address;
  • Mobile number;
  • Date of birth, age and gender
  • Residential address, city, state and PIN code, where required;
  • Identity or KYC documents, where required under applicable law or for verification purposes;
  • Existing insurance policy details, including policy documents, insurer details, policy number, policy type, coverage, premium, sum insured, nominee details, riders, renewal information and other policy-related information;
  • Information relating to your insurance requirements and preferences, including the type of insurance sought, desired coverage, budget, family composition, medical disclosures (where applicable), and other details necessary to generate policy recommendations or quotations;
  • Communications and correspondence with us, including enquiries, feedback, customer support requests, and records of interactions;
  • Any other information voluntarily provided by you while using our Services or submitted through forms on the Website.

The User represents and warrants that all information and documents submitted through the Platform are true, complete, accurate and lawfully provided, and shall remain solely responsible for the authenticity and legality thereof. ERB shall process such information solely for providing the Services, including generating personalised insurance reports, analysing insurance coverage, identifying protection gaps, providing recommendations, improving the Platform and complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Purposes of Collection and Processing

ERB collects and processes the User’s information solely for legitimate business, operational and compliance purposes, including:

  • generating personalised insurance reports and policy evaluations;
  • analysing existing insurance coverage and identifying protection gaps;
  • comparing insurance products and providing suitable recommendations;
  • verifying the identity and authenticity of the information submitted by the User, where required;
  • operating, maintaining, securing and improving the Platform and its Services;
  • responding to User queries, requests and support requirements;
  • communicating account-related information, service updates, recommendations and promotional communications, subject to applicable law; and
  • complying with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.

ERB may process such information directly or through authorised service providers strictly on a need-to-know basis and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

Application Permissions

The Platform currently operates through its web-based Platform and does not require any mobile application permissions.

In the event ERB introduces a mobile application or additional device-based functionalities in the future, the Platform may request access to certain device permissions, including storage, media, camera, microphone, location, notifications or such other permissions as may be reasonably necessary for the operation of the Services. Any such permissions shall be requested only with the User's prior consent, to the extent required under applicable law, and shall be used solely for the purpose for which they are granted.

Use of Information and User Consent

The information, documents and insurance policy details voluntarily submitted by the User through the Platform shall be collected, processed, stored and used solely for the purposes of generating personalised insurance reports, analysing insurance coverage, providing policy comparisons and recommendations, improving the Services, complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and such other legitimate business purposes as set out in this Privacy Policy.

The reports, evaluations and recommendations generated through the Platform are based on automated processing of the information provided by the User together with predefined evaluation parameters. Such reports are intended solely for informational purposes and should not be construed as financial, legal or insurance advice or as a recommendation to purchase, renew or discontinue any insurance product.

By accessing or using the Platform, the User expressly authorises ERB, its affiliates, authorised service providers and business partners to process such information and to communicate with the User through email, telephone, SMS, WhatsApp, push notifications or other electronic means in relation to the Services, account administration, insurance reports, recommendations, service updates and promotional communications, to the extent permitted under applicable law.

If ERB introduces a mobile application or additional device-based functionalities in the future, the Platform may request access to certain device features or permissions strictly to the extent necessary for providing the Services. Any such access shall be sought in accordance with applicable law and used solely for the purpose for which it is granted.

ERB implements reasonable technical, organisational and administrative safeguards to protect the information under its control against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, misuse or destruction. Information shall be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out herein or as required under applicable law.

Subject to applicable law, the User may request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, withdraw consent for processing where applicable, or raise grievances regarding the processing of personal information by contacting us using the details provided below.

Third Party Advertising

We may use third-party advertising companies and/ or ad agencies to serve ads on this Platform. These companies may use information (not including the name, city, email address or telephone number) about User’s visits to this and other web sites in order to provide advertisements on this site and other sites about goods and services that may be of interest to the User.

Privacy Policy Changes

ERB may amend this policy from time to time, at our discretion. The user is requested to visit this Platform and review the most updated version of the policy. The Company reserves the right at any time, at our sole discretion, to change or otherwise modify the Policy without prior notice, and the same shall be deemed to be reviewed and accepted by the Users.

Controllers of Personal Information

User’s personal data will be stored and collected by ERB.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We may use session ID cookies. For session ID cookies, once User closes the browser or logs out, the cookie terminates and is erased. Session ID cookies may be used by PRP to track user preferences while the user is visiting the Platform. They also help to minimize load times and save on server processing. Persistent cookies may be used by PRP to store whether, for example, the User want the password remembered or not, and other information. Cookies used on the PRP Platform do not contain personally identifiable information.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

ERB may share User’s Information submitted on this Platform to any third party/service provider/business partner without obtaining User’s prior consent in the following limited circumstances:

When it is requested or required by law or by any court or governmental agency or authority to disclose, for the purpose of verification of identity, or for the prevention, detection, investigation including cyber incidents, or for prosecution and punishment of offences. These disclosures are made in good faith and belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary for enforcing these Terms and Conditions; for complying with the applicable laws and regulations.

ERB proposes to share such information within its group companies and officers and employees of such group companies for the purpose of processing personal information on its behalf. We also ensure that these recipients of such information agree to process such information based on our instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

ERB may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when the user, visits this Platform. These companies may use personal information about the user’s visit to this Platform and other Platforms in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to the user.

ERB shall transfer information about User in case ERB is acquired by or merged with another company.

Security

We employ appropriate technical and organizational security measures at all times to protect the information we collect from the User. We use multiple electronic, procedural, and physical security measures to protect against unauthorized or unlawful use or alteration of information, and against any accidental loss, destruction, or damage to information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Further, the User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of the login id and password, and may not provide these credentials to any third party.

Links to Other Platforms

There might be affiliates or other sites linked to this Platform. Personal information that the User provided to those sites are not our property. These affiliated sites may have different privacy practices and we encourage the User to read their privacy policies of these Platform when the User visits them.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. The courts at Mumbai, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy.
